Introducing new Directors is part of a succession process that can promote the strategic growth of an architectural practice. Many firms only think of succession when a key Director retires. This means many opportunities for growth and development are missed, top performers may leave.

Succession, however, can be a continuous process that promotes a practice’s strategic growth, increases its design and technical capabilities, and attracts and retains high-performing employees.

Planning for, and developing, new Directors early can promote a practice’s growth and design ethos, and increase the value of ownership to Directors.

In this session we will help owners and Directors understand principles of succession planning, and help them understand:

  • How can integrating new Directors promote business strategy?
  • How do we select and develop new Directors?
  • How can new Directors be introduced to the practice and clients?
  • How do we preserve and build the practice’s brand and value?

This is a highly interactive workshop that can help practice owners and Directors decide if, when and how new Directors should be introduced to their practice.

This talk is kindly hosted by Build Studios.
